LAC Group UK is seeking a Legislation Researcher/Translator whose native language is Sinhalese for short-term engagements that can be undertaken remotely, from home. Assignments will be allocated throughout the year on a part-time, hourly basis. Success on the first assignment will lead to further opportunities, in both Sinhalese and English. Hence, the selected individual, in addition to having native or native-like fluency in Sinhelese, must be fluent in English and be able to present good written English.
The focus will be a direct review of current legislation and the recording of specific elements thereof. Candidates should be good communicators and be able to demonstrate previous research experience. Previous legal training or experience is not necessary but some familiarity with legal terminology would be desirable. Full project descriptions will be provided, supervisors appointed and on-line training will be provided.

Candidates who do not provide a covering note, will not be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who do not currently have full-time work commitments and could devote at least 20 hours per week to this project.
