Gengo [HIDDEN] is a Tokyo-based startup that is making translation simple. Our customers order human translation through our website or API, which lets them plug into our growing network of over 24,000 translators.
Our Language Specialists are professional translators who work remotely as independent contractors for up to 10 hours per week to oversee testing and quality assurance in their language pair.
・Translator Testing: create tests for potential translators and review test submissions from new translators eager to join Gengo
・Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality reviews using our proprietary quality assurance mechanism
・Performance Reviews - Assessing translator performance and providing constructive feedback
・Resource Creation: assist in the creation of language-specific translator resources
・Native in French
・Professional translator with at least four years’ experience
・Attentive to detail, able to follow instructions and change direction quickly
・Responsive to emails - replying to requests within 24 hours at most
・Punctual and reliable - we expect some tasks to be completed within 48 hours
・Experience assessing skills and providing written feedback
・Experience creating learning materials
