Job description:

We are looking for a native Dutch speaker with experience translating fiction to translate a sci-fi romance novel from English into Dutch. The novel is ~88k words. Additionally, the chosen candidate would help us with some minor marketing-related tasks in Dutch, such as setting up a book description, the author website, and drafting emails to Dutch book-reviewing blogs.
As part of the application, please be prepared to provide a sample of your skills by translating an excerpt of the novel for us (3 scenes totaling approx. 1800 words). These samples will then be used to select the finalist.

Please mention if any of these apply to you:
1) You have translated a work of fiction and can provide information about it
2) You read romance in English or Dutch. You read fantasy novels in either of the languages.
3) Dutch is your native language (you were born in Netherlands) and you have full mastery of English.
