Localization studio Inlingo is looking for freelancers for a part-time job to assist in testing computer games.
- Linguistic testing (checking that: all UI strings have been translated; concatenations are resolved properly; there is terminological and stylistic consistency between menu items and dialog box titles; accented characters display and print properly; punctuation rules are observed; localized text wraps, that hyphenation is correct, and that alphabetical/numerical sorting rules are observed; hotkey assignment is consistent with the target operating system; abbreviations have been used when required by interface design);
- Cosmetic testing (checking that: all dialog boxes are properly resized without truncation; all hotkeys in dialog boxes and menus are unique; extended characters display as expected; all buttons are aligned, sizing of screen elements is consistent and aesthetically pleasing; dialog boxes and menus display properly using regional settings);
- Logging bugs in bug tracking software;
- Providing feedback based on playtesting.
You should be experienced in different genres.
