Satish Maripuri, the chief operating officer of Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. has submitted his resignation effective September 24, 2010, according to an SEC filing.

He is moving on to a senior position at a company outside of Lionbridge’s industry. His duties will be assumed by the members of company’s existing management team.

Maripuri lead the worldwide operations of Lionbridge. He was responsible for setting corporate strategy and achieving growth in the company’s 26 country operations including six delivery centers in India, China and Central Europe. He joined Lionbridge in 2003 and was instrumental in transforming Lionbridge into an offshore outsourcing company.
