The purpose of the National Excellence Awards of the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT) is to evaluate the efforts and direct the spotlight on the most outstanding performers.

On Friday 11 November a translator and interpreter D-Day Expo will be held in University House at the Australian National University, with talks from leading Australian translating and interpreting professionals, demonstrations of innovative technologies, and opportunities to try out new products and learn about new methods. In the evening a Gala Dinner will be held in The Hall at University House, with the presentation of awards for excellence in translating and interpreting in six categories to outstanding Australian language professionals.
Nominations are now open for individuals, teams or organisations with projects that demonstrates excellence in the language services. Forms and guidelines can be found at www.ausitawards.org.
