MSP Messenger, a free instant messaging client created by Turkish engineers, has attracted more than 250,000 users from 124 countries only 24 hours after it was released.
With its online translation feature, MSP Messenger has drawn great interest from internet users across the world.
The program offers free language translation while chatting which makes it possible for users, who cannot speak more than one language, to chat with people speaking other languages.
Creators of the software say that such a feature is used for the first time in MSP Messenger. “This great attention to our product in last 24 hours shows the need for domestic software,” said Necmettin Ozalp, a software engineer who created MSP Messenger.
The client was released only 5 days ago. In first three days, 30,000 users downloaded it but the number of download skyrocketed in 24 hours after news reports on national media outlets.
