Velaro, a live chat software-as-a service provider, announced the release of an update to its chat translation service in response to the recent changes made by search engine Googleto many of its service offerings.
Google has withdrawn a number of its offerings, including well-known products like Labs and Desktop and lesser-known products such as Image Labeler. The search engine has also made changes in its offerings including Google Translate, a previously free service upon which Velaro has long relied on in order to power its chat translation feature.
Following these changes, Google Translate is now offered as a paid service, so software developers will have to rework existing functionality to continue using the service.
