Bio: GABRIELA ALEJANDRA GONZÁLEZ es Traductora Pública de idioma inglés egresada de la Universidad de Morón, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Se desempeña como Traductora y localizadora de páginas web. Las áreas en las que se especializa incluyen Hardware, Software, Ingeniería, Electrónica, Comercio Electrónico, Telecomunicaciones, Marketing y Tecnología Informática. También está inscripta como perito desde 1998 y fue creadora y directora de un portal educativo para niños, padres y docentes de 5 a 12 años. Tuvo una activa participación en el Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires hasta el año 2004 como Miembro de las Comisiones de Relaciones Universitarias, Publicaciones, Aplicaciones Informáticas y Ejercicio de la Profesión, de la cual fue a su vez coordinadora de las subcomisiones de Intercambio Profesional y Derechos de Autor. Es Guest Researcher en la Universidad de Wolverhampton, Reino Unido (http://clg.wlv.ac.uk/people/index.php), miembro de los Comités Literario, Derechos de Autor y Tecnología de FIT y jurado en 2005 del Premio Aurora Borealis. Tiene una destacada trayectoria académica a cargo de cursos sobre tecnología aplicada para traductores. Entre las instituciones en donde se desempeñó se incluyen la Universidad del Aconcagua de Mendoza, la Universidad de Wolverhampton del Reino Unido, el Congreso de la Federación Internacional de Traductores en Vancouver, el área de Cursos del CTPCBA, el IV Congreso Latinoamericano de Traducción e Interpretación también organizado por el CTPCBA, las V Jornadas de Ejercicio de la Profesión en la Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, el Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Provincia de Córdoba, Universidad Católica Argentina, la Asociación Gremial de Traductores e Intérpretes de Santiago, Chile, Universidad de Concepción, Chile y Universidad de Antofagasta; capacitando en el uso y aplicación de herramientas para traductores a los docentes de la carrera de traducción de estas dos vecinas casas de estudios. Por último, en relación a su actividad profesional privada, está al frente del Estudio denominado “Traducciones en Línea” y es la Directora Operativa de "El Refugio del Idioma", emprendimiento independiente para profesionales de los idiomas, proyecto que comparte con la colega Beatriz Rodriguez.
