Source text - English The drug we are testing in this study is called XXX. This drug is made by XXXX, the Sponsor of this study. XXXX is not approved by the FDA or any other Health Agencies for treatment of Septic Shock and its use is considered experimental.
XXX is a liquid that contains 7.5 grams of tranexamic acid (less than 1 ounce). Tranexamic acid is an ingredient in other products that have already been approved by the FDA and other Health Agencies. In one product, tranexamic acid is approved at a lower dose (1-3 grams) for people with rare bleeding disorders to help reduce or stop bleeding when their teeth are removed. In another product, tranexamic acid is approved (also at a lower dose, 3.9 grams) to help women with heavy periods (menstrual bleeding). It is also approved for use by patients undergoing dental surgery
Translation - Spanish El fármaco que estamos analizando en este estudio se denomina XXX. Este fármaco es fabricado por Leading BioSciences, el patrocinador de este estudio. El XXXno está aprobado por la Administración de Alimentos y Medicamentos (Food and Drug Administration, FDA) ni ninguna otro organismo sanitario para el tratamiento del choque séptico y su uso se considera experimental.
XXX es un líquido que contiene 7,5 gramos de ácido tranexámico (menos de 1 onza). El ácido tranexámico es un ingrediente de otros productos que ya han sido aprobados por la FDA y otros organismos sanitarios. En un producto, el ácido tranexámico está aprobado en una dosis menor (de 1 a 3 gramos) para personas con trastornos hemorrágicos poco frecuentes, para ayudar a reducir o detener el sangrado cuando se someten a una extracción de dientes. En otro producto, el ácido tranexámico (también en una dosis menor, 3,9 gramos) está aprobado para ayudar a las mujeres con menstruaciones abundantes (sangrado menstrual). También está aprobado para el uso en pacientes que se someten a una cirugía dental.

Bio
I am a native speaker of Spanish, I hold a BA in English-to-Spanish Translation granted by the School of Languages, National University of Córdoba, Argentina.
I started working as a translator when I was still in college and then I worked for several years as an inhouse translator, editor, proofreader and QA Manager at local agencies and I have been working as a freelance translator for almost four years now.
I use Wordfast Pro, SDLX, Trados Studio 2014, Trados 2007, MemoQ and QA tools such as Xbench and Apsic. My areas of experience include health care, medical texts in general and medical devices, human resources, insurance, tourism and education, among others.
Since the year 2013, I have also been working as Assitant professor of Contrastive Grammar in the translating course of studies at School of Languages, National University of Córdoba, Argentina.
