I am a French Translator currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. I translate from English and Japanese into French, and I have been working independently for a little over 9 years. In addition to Translation, I have taught French and English as a foreign language and also have 4 years of experience as a Translation Project Manager. After obtaining my Master’s degree in Translation from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris, I left France to spend “one year” in Japan. One year turned into seven. Japan became my second home, and the United States is now my third. I feel very fortunate to have had a home in each of my working language. Besides facilitating communication and the exchange of information, one of my favorite aspects of being a Translator is the opportunity for lifelong learning that the job provides. The diversity of the work and the challenges inherent to each project are also the perfect antidote to boredom. My main areas of specialization are: Healthcare, Medical Devices, Pharma, and Clinical Research; Travel and Tourism; Surveys, Questionnaires, and Market Research; International and Humanitarian Organizations. Additional fields of work include: Retail, General Business, General Legal, and Personal Documents. When not at my desk, I can be found hiking or backpacking on the many beautiful trails California has to offer. |
