Bio
I started translating in 2004 after I was asked to perform a translation from German into Swedish. Working on the first translation I realized early on that this is a profession that suits me very well and as a result I decided to study translation at the University of Lund.

A good translation is the sum of so much more than merely the translated words themselves. It requires an innate sense of language, proficiency in the source and target language as well as an excellent understanding of the culture and the idiomatic nuances in both countries. My education and a four-year stay in Germany vouch for my skills in both languages. To this you may add a genuine interest in languages and the ambition to produce texts that do not give the impression of being translated. With every translation I strive towards this goal, regardless if what I’m translating is a technical manual, an art brochure or a marketing text.

My approach has led to an increasing amount of requests for transcreations, rather than translations. Please send an e-mail, or give me a call, if your text needs to be adapted for the Swedish market, while maintaining its intent, style, tone and context. I also offer editing Swedish monolingual texts for style and readability.

Do contact me Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 CET if you require transcreations or translations in the fields of:

Advertising/Marketing
History
Tourism
Sports/Leisure
Arts/crafts
Engineering

or would like to have your monolingual Swedish text checked/edited.

Please note that I do not work in the fields of Law, Finance/Economy or Medicine.
