English to Italian: IP Fragmentation General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Computers: Systems, Networks
Source text - English IP uses a technique called fragmentation to solve the problem of heterogeneous MTUs. When a datagram is larger than the MTU of the network over which it must be sent, it is divided into smaller fragments which are each sent separately.
To fragment a datagram, a host or router uses the MTU and the datagram header size to calculate how many fragments are required (they must be in multiples of 8 octets). Then the header of the original datagram is copied into the headers of each of the fragments. The following fields change.
•TOTAL LENGTH to reflect the shorter size.
•MORE flag in all but the last fragment.
•FRAGMENT OFFSET to reflect the position of the fragment within the original datagram.
•Il flag MORE in tutti i frammenti eccetto l'ultimo.
•Il campo SPOSTAMENTO LATERALE (OFFSET) per riflettere la posizione del frammento all'interno del datagramma originale.
•La CHECKSUM dell'intestazione!

I am an Italian Computer Engineer.
I have always had the passion for studiyng languages since I was a child.
Translation is not a rigid transposition from a domain (a language) to another. It is a function of different variables: source and target language cultures, register, grammar and last but not least knowledge of the specific context to be translated. The professional translator is aware of any issue that could come along the way and, whether it has got further qualification, why not giving it a chance?
While looking for the right translator to fit a job, it is important to choose someone who realizes how important the task is for the client. Any mistake or imperfection comes to the end-readers as if it was written by the client indeed. My experience as a consultant in an international firm has taught me to always keep the client on first place, always delivering a high class outcome which is the best in terms of cost and quality.
My areas of specialization are:
-Engineering in general
I provide services for translation, editing and proofreading.
Experience so far is in translation of IT and Telecommunications articles and proofreading for Electronic Devices' manuals.
I am also specialized in translating Software GUIs among with their user guide manuals and mobile applications (ios and android apps)
Please don't hesitate and contact me.
