My name is Simona Luvrano and I am an Italian mothertongue Freelance Translator.
When I got my bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures of Europe and the Americas in 2005 I decided to move to Spain to improve my languages and personal skills and I started working for a hotel chain. Effectively the job that I carried out there helped me to be more fluent in English and Spanish, increase my confidence as individual who looks for a continuous professional and personal growth and above all give me the opportunity to take one's first steps in translation as I carried out some translation works for the company (web site contents, contracts, customers and suppliers emails).
After the experience in Spain I went back to Italy to complete my studies and after my Specialization Degree in Languages and Latin American Literatures I decided to attend a further course to specialize myself in Translation, which course I concluded on July 2009. During this course I had the opportunity to prove myself with legal translation ( contracts, EU documents, corporate documents) and editorial translation.
Since September 2009 I started working as a freelance translator for a translation agency specialized in patents and legal documents.
At present, I am living in England and I am collaborating with a team of translators.
My language pairs: English, Spanish to Italian.
Fields of expertise:
Legal Translation: Patents, Conracts, EU documents
Tourism and Travel: brochures, website contents
Editing and Proofreading: stylistic and grammatical improvement of all type of texts
Distinguishing mark: precision, reliability, determination
