After having finished my studies of English linguistics, Japanese linguistics and computer-science at Philipps University of Marburg in Germany, I entered the video game industry at Nintendo of Europe. Soon after that, I was hired by Cybermedia, a publishing house specialized in publications for video games and home-entertainment equipment. At this position I could expand my field of activity of being an editor and webmaster at the same time. My area of expertise has always been Japan and its gaming (sub-)culture, as well as other fields of daily life matters in Japan.
Since September 2008 I am living in Japan, working as a freelance translator and localiation professional for video games and as a video game journalist for different european publishing houses. |
