I am a qualified, native English-speaking translator specialising in Portuguese and Spanish document translation.
I have translated at the highest levels, including working as a translation intern at the United Nations in Geneva, translating documents for international medical organisations and précis-writing for the World Health Organization.
I have the advantage of being bicultural, meaning that I have a greater understanding of some of the finer points of Latin American texts than other native English speakers.
For this reason, I specialise in translating Latin American texts, although I have considerable experience of working with European and African texts.
I specialise in:
- medicine and health
- human rights and international development
- international organisations
In addition to my specialists areas, I have experience in translating documents from fields as different as construction, architecture, logistics, tourism and more.
I am a Qualified Member (MITI) of the Institute of Translation and Interpeting.
I have lived and worked in Portugal, Argentina and Switzerland, and am currently based in Leeds, UK.
