About me
My name is Vincent Borkowski.

My areas of interest vary from media and culture to software and literature. I am somewhat skilled in philosophical terminology, music and art. I also would be interested in working on video games.

Bio:

I just finished High School in Germany with a fairly neat gpa and the highest possible grades in English and I have always been interested in translating, mainly because my mother is a professional translator. My English is fluent, my writing as well as my speaking are of high quality. I will start studying "Internationale Fachkommunikation", or "international specialized communication", in October 2012 at the Fachhochschule Flensburg.

I have no professional experience, however I did translate twenty pages of a philosophical essay from English to German. The author was German as well and her English wasn't that good, but given the specific background of Thought Experiments (Schrödinger's Cat was an example) and the vast terminology connected with this topic, the task was a lot of work and I still managed to translate 2000 words/day.

I am opening an account on proz.com now to start up translating on the side while preparing for college.
