Source text - English 'What makes me really angry,' shouted Marrs, 'apart from the loss of two men, is that I would said yes. It was a good idea. But I would have sent out a dozen jetbikes, not three. And specials, trained men. But you didn't ask me and now I've lost two soldiers. Is there any reason why I should allow you to remain a BEATCON special?'
'I don't know, sir.'
'I'm a failure,' thought Dick. 'I'm going to be thrown out of BEATCON, perhaps even sent to the tunnels.'
'Next time, I'll kill them all,' he promised.
'Yes, I think you will,' said Marrs. 'Because you will never come back to me again unless they are dead. And that is the only reason that I'm letting you stay on. But I'm watching you, understand? One more mistake and you're out.'
'Yes, sir. Thank you, sir.'
- Sissignore. Grazie, signore. |
