English to German: Sample from Alice in Wonderland, Chapter 4 General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English "It was much pleasanter at home," thought poor Alice, "when one wasn't always growing larger and smaller, and being ordered about by mice and rabbits. I almost wish I hadn't gone down that rabbit hole - and yet - and yet - it's rather curious, you know, this sort of life. I do wonder what can have happened to me! When I used to read fairy tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one! There ought to be a book written about me, that there ought!"

Experience
Years of experience: 13. Registered at ProZ.com: Oct 2012.
My name is Martina and since I am just about to finish my studies, I thought it was necessary to find work in my favorite field: translation.
At university, I studied English and Spanish linguistics and literature.
Thus, my language combinations are the following:
English to German
and
Spanish to German
From July to September I worked in a translation agency in Vancouver where I learnt a lot about the translation industry. Moreover, I could further improve my knowledge of the English language.
I am a highly motivated person who works very accurately.
