I'm a Filipino who grew up and studied in Bonn and Cologne (Germany). I finished Commerce at the Friedrich-List School of Commerce in Bonn Bad-Godesberg. However, before i studied commerce I took up a 1-year intensive course in Foreign Language Commercial Correspondence at the then Benedikt School in Cologne Germany.
After graduating from the School of Commerce I was hired by the Philippine Embassy in Bonn to work as an Information Desk Clerk. After my stint at the Embassy, i got hired by a Filipino Travel Agency in Bonn to work as a travel agent as a main consolidator of Philippine Airlines in Europe. At nights i worked for the UPS Data Management at the Cologne Airport.
1997 I went back to the Philippines to work as a Freelance German Tour Guide under the program of the Department of Tourism. I temporarily stopped tour guiding in 2004 to work as a German Instructor at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Campus. It was there where i got to work with translations for the first time.
I first translated reports from both languages, Deutsch and English. Later on I was given an opportunity to translate a 60-page Manual of the United Nations from English to German. From then on I was mostly sought by private entities as well as governments to translate technical documents. That's how i got involved with translations. Until now, people still look for me to translate their documents.
I would be very grateful if one of you guys woud give me the opportunity to translate your documents. I will do my utmost to come up with the best translation that can be done on that document. I translate from both languages, German and English v.v.
I do hope to work for you, soon.
With best regards,
Rigoberto L. Buccat
