The retail industry is undergoing a transformation. Retailers today are faced with intense competition, a proliferation of channels, increased customer scrutiny, and growing complexity. In today’s omnichannel environment, consumers are in control, dictating their preferences for the channels and methods in which they want to be communicated, and retailers have to adapt―in real time.

Between-group comparisons for the incidence of adverse events and side effects of hypoglycemia were made using Fisher’s exact test. Furthermore, the 95 percent confidence interval of the incidence for each medication group was calculated, while the between-group difference in the incidence and its 95 percent confidence interval were calculated using Wilson’s method. In addition to hypoglycemia, the total adverse events and side effects, as well as the incidence of adverse events and side effects of gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) were also examined based on clinical symptoms and clinical laboratory data.

Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. is moving to collect about $230 million in controversial contingent commissions owed by insurers and will put the money toward a settlement with the New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer.
Spitzer last month charged the world's No. 1 insurance broker with price rigging, which he said sprang directly from contingent commissions paid to Marsh by insurers.
Marsh's new Chief Executive Michael Cherkasky, who took over from Jeffrey Greenberg last week, has said clearing up legal issues with Spitzer was his priority, and a settlement is expected over the coming weeks.
Marsh said Monday it will put the collected fees -- which it estimated to be about $230 million -- into a segregated account to be used for any restitution agreement it reaches with Spitzer.
The broker said last week it would permanently drop contingent commissions -- which it calls "market services agreements” -- by the beginning of next year, while it will disclose all commissions and fees to clients.
Contingent compensation fees, which Spitzer says Marsh forced on insurers under the threat of cutting premiums placed with them, totaled $845 million last year, or 7 percent of Marsh's $11.6 billion in revenue.
Spitzer accused New York-based Marsh in an Oct. 14 lawsuit of rigging bids and colluding with American International Group Inc. and other insurers to fix prices.
