Bio
Hello, my name is Emily Canosa and I am a professional freelance translator with about 2+ years of experience. I began translating for nonprofits in Tokyo while pursuing an MA degree in Japanese Studies in 2010. My translation experience continued with the University of Michigan Visual Resources Collection, where I translated Japanese collections of arts-related visual materials for their database and finding aids. I also performed translation work during my time working as a graduate researcher in Asian art at the University of Michigan Museum of Art. In 2011 I began working on a freelance basis with Arbor Translation LLC, where I began to expand my realm of expertise to include business, automotive, IT, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, medical, patent and other materials. I am especially interested in the fields of medicine and health, as well as academic and arts-related materials.
