Background

My interest in languages at school, where I studied French and German, led me to pursue a degree in Modern Languages at university, where I took up Spanish.

After graduating with a BA Honours degree in Modern Languages (French with Spanish) in 2007, I worked as an in-house translation checker from 2008 to 2010 and then as an in-house junior translator from 2010 to 2011, both in the UK. I moved to Luxembourg with my family in 2011, when I started working as a freelance translator. In my spare time I enjoy learning new languages! I studied Italian in the evenings from 2014 to 2017 at the Institut National des Langues in Luxembourg and I am currently learning Luxembourgish.

I always research the subject matter as thoroughly as possible using both online and paper resources. I produce a style of English that is appropriate for the type of document. I always check my work carefully against the source text and ensure that it reads as though it had been written in English originally.
