I am a teacher, coach, and mentor at a high school in Amsterdam (Netherlands). Last year I started education for my Master’s degree in Special Educational Needs and Major Dynamic Coaching.
One part of this course is Internationalization, the goal of which is to learn more about another culture, one specific subject considering teaching, and about myself (reflection).
I plan to write my thesis about the question how we (the teachers) can make our students more responsible for their own learning process.
As part of this thesis I would like to visit different schools and I hope to include [redacted]. On the website of [redacted], I saw a film of a student explaining the effect of restorative circles, a methodology I use in my classes as a mentor. I would like to get more inspiration from your school on this subject.
I would like to ask if it’s possible to visit your school in the week of March 20th so I can learn more about your methodologies for teaching students in a constructive way.
During my visit I would like to interview the director and if possible I would love to sit in on a few classes that use this technique. I will of course make sure not to be a distraction or interruption to the course.

Bio
I have been living in the United States since 1996 and have become very accustomed to the language and culture of the country while maintaining my Dutch identity. I am very familiar and comfortable with the language spoken at American businesses and with the more common language spoken in a less formal setting.
