I have been working as a freelance specialist translator since 2013. In order to produce high-quality translations, I prefer to work on projects that I find interesting and where I can draw on my personal experience. Consequently, I work mostly on assignments in the fields of EU and politics, trade, IT, education and history.
Currently (2016/2017), the bulk of my translation jobs are assignments for translations from English to Swedish from the European Commission (Commission decisions, communications and reports) in the areas of trade and competition, transportation, and food and agriculture. I also have experience from translating texts in the IT field (I have 16 years' experience from working in IT management and internal communications) and political sociology. As for Danish, I have translation experience from the fields of marketing, food and history.
Before I started working as a translator I held various positions in internal communications and IT service management, and have a good understanding of the processes, concepts and terminology in these fields. I regularly teach IT translation in the translator's programme at Lund University, Sweden.
