I started translating after taking my BA degree in English language and literature from the University of Zagreb in 1999. A few years later I left for the UK to enrol first as an MA student and later, upon receiving the Overseas Research Scholarship, as a doctoral research student at the University of Reading. I completed my PhD thesis on forms of media interactions between theatre, painting and music in 2009. During the studies I taught at the Department of Film, Theatre & Television and presented papers at numerous international conferences. My text ‘Theatre and Music: Intermedial Negotiations’ was published in Travels in Intermediality, edited by Bernd Herzogenrath, in 2012.

My published translations include Philip Ball's Universe of Stone: Chartres Cathedral and the Triumph of the Medieval Mind, Matthewa Landrus' The Treasures of Leonardo da Vinci, Pasi Sahlberg's Finnish Lessons: What Can the World Learn from Educational Change in Finland, Susie Hodge’s Secrets of the Knights Templar: the Hidden History of the World's Most Powerful Order and Eric Schmidt & Jared Cohen's The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business.

While the published texts mostly belong to social sciences, a considerable portion of my translating work (usually not intended for publication) includes texts that deal with technologies, engineering or computers.
