Bio
My name is Larisa Horback. I am a Russian and Ukrainian interpreter and translator.
I was born in Ukraine in 1982. I studied at a Charter school sponsored by George Soros which gave me a lot of opportunities including learning English and Spanish. In 2000 I moved to Kyiv and started to work as an interpreter and translator for marriage agencies and tourist bureaus. Since 2006 I live in Atlanta GA. I am an American citizen.
I have a BS in Chemical Engineering from Kyiv Polytechnic University. I just have graduated from Georgia State University and get my diploma in Criminal Justice.
I work face to face and remotely. I have over 4 years of experience in interpreting over the phone. I can handle stress and I know how to be a proper conduit.
Since February of 2020, I work as a Ukrainian and a Russian interpreter for Census 2020.
I am an active member of ATA ( Slavic division), AAIT, NAJIT, and MING.
I am a nationally certified Medical Interpreter, CCHI, and Hub CMI.
I am familiar with legal and court orders, warrants; I interpret booking, deposition, trials, preliminary hearings, probation interviews, immigration interviews, etc.
