Bio
I found myself to be a translator at heart. My highest productivity is from home, where I can set my own environment and best delve into the research and text formulation that are the pillars of a well translated document. My experience is, so far, solely with Patent documents, which range from genetic research to mechanical parts and processes for different industries which, in conjunction with my familiarity with computers, networks and games, make all those areas prime possibilities – and personal interests – to explore in future opportunities. At last, as it is often required in this line of work, I’m comfortable with extended work hours and dedicated weekends in order to fulfill short deadlines.
Aditionally, I have at my disposal a wide range of manuals and glossaries and a vast well of knowledge in the medical, particularly in the microbiology area, from my wife, who has 6 years of experience translating for the Elsevier publisher on Brazil and who, also, has 12 years of lab practice and is on her third post-doctorade in Virology and Microbiology, Gabriella Mendes.
