About me
A native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian, I have six years’ professional experience of editing and proofreading in both languages, as well as translating into them from English.

I’m a member of Modal Studio, a communication studio based in London and Kharkiv, and a graduate (cum laude) of the master’s programme in Russian philology at Kharkiv’s V.N. Karazin University (the city’s oldest seat of higher education).

From 2010 I worked for three years at Ranok, one of the leading publishers in the CIS region. There I worked on a diverse array of texts, from manuals and study guides to fiction.

It was in this time that I chose for myself a professional watchword: precision.

Since 2011 I have worked with some of Ukraine’s leading translation agencies, becoming conversant in the specialist lexicons of such diverse industries as IT, oil and gas, medicine, law, chemical and nuclear engineering, printing, and publishing.

During this time, I’ve completed more than 1000 orders for my clients.

In spring 2016 I became a member of Modal Studio, a group of independent language and communication professionals. The group prides itself on maintaining total end-to-end control over the work it carries out, and never uses subcontractors.

Modal’s work ethic matches my own: I take huge pride in my thoroughness, and in gaining a true understanding of the documents I work on.
