I am a native English speaker with plenty of proofreading and editing experience. I hold two undergraduate degrees - in arts (Advanced French and Advanced Japanese) and law, as well as a Master degree in law (LL.M. in Deutsches Recht, Universität Humboldt zu Berlin). Recently I have spent time editing a PhD for an academic in immigration law, but have also proofread essays and theses exploring a diverse range of subjects including industrial vacuum pumps, luxury watches, Spanish art, English literature and gender studies. I have also worked at the International Chamber of Hong Kong, where most of my work involved proofreading and fact-checking draft arbitral decisions.
I speak fluent German, French and Japanese, and have studied and worked in all three countries. I have previously done translation and proofreading work for law firms in Sydney, Japan and Germany, and given my legal background I am particularly knowledgeable and confident in the legal and business fields. I have also worked as a research assistant and editor/proofreader for academics at the University of New South Wales, proofreading journal articles to be submitted for publication in various law journals.
My own writing style is also high quality - I have worked as a blogger and social media manager, and previously written web content for websites.
