I decided to get my bachelor's degree in translation after having spent years working as a sales assistant, where I would often be called on to do translation and interpretation work in addition to my regular duties. I got my BA Specialization in Translation with distinction from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. I started landing contracts as a freelancer as soon as I graduated, including some from my favourite teacher and one of my fellow students, which is a testament to how competent they know I am. I'm a stickler for thorough research and have strong research skills. Though my native language is English, I am also fluent in French since I was raised in French-speaking communities. We spoke both languages in our home. I've done some newspaper article translation, among others, and am currently proofreading a municipality's communications with its citizens for a fellow freelancer.
