Hello Everyone,

Hope everything is going well with you.

My name is Meeyeon Lee, and I would like to thank you all for checking my profile.

I was born and raised in Korea, where I finished my Bachelor's degree in psychology and English language & literature, as well as Master's degree in psychology. I used to work as a part-time freelancer translator in Korea and then moved to the U.S.A. to complete my Ph.D. degree in Psychology.

Now, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, where I have developed more interest in translating and subtitling various pieces of information. I am currently working with a few different agencies, focusing on translating subtitles of TV shows and movies for major streaming services. I also volunteered to translate subtitles of TED Talks as well as online courses in Coursera. You can find samples of my work here:

A Korean Subtitle Sample 1 in TED Talk, The Risky Politics of Progress by Jonathan Tepperman
A Korean Subtitle Sample 2 in TED Talk, Architecture That's Built to Heal by Michael Murphy
A Korean Subtitle Sample 3 in TEDx Talk, The Neuroscience of Eureka by Andre Golard, PhD

Please choose a Korean subtitle on the videos, and you will see my Korean translation. Although my recent projects are heavily focused on translating subtitles, I also have various experiences in translating text-based materials.

You can request my CV as well, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Again, thank you very much for your time and interest.
