Source text - English Good forecasting is vital for any business planning. If the estimates are too high, a
company over-produces goods that cannot be sold. On one hand this is unnecessary
and moreover increases costs for resources such as raw materials, workforce or
storage space. On the other hand, underproduction can result in shortages and lost
business opportunities and a potential loss of customers who could not be served.
