I have been translating bidirectionally between English and Romanian for over 9 years, and am now seeking to become a full-time freelance translator. I am a 2017 graduate of an MA in Applied Translation Studies at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK, and have significant experience in providing language services (translation, editing, revision, proof-reading, post-editing, linguistic and cultural consultancy) in different fields (cosmetics, medical, history, linguistics, religious). My most recent projects include EN-RO translations for two National Trust museums in the UK (the Norwich Castle Museum and the Blickling Hall), as well as for the Virtual Museum of the Holocaust in Northern Transylvania, the first of its kind in the world. In addition, I have provided translations and revisions of research articles for the Studia Judaica academic journal of the Dr. Moshe Carmilly Institute for Hebrew and Jewish History in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I am now specifically interested in translating for the cosmetics/beauty, fashion, retail and/or marketing industries.
