Introdução
A chamada “crise dos refugiados” marcou os últimos anos pela tsunami migratória que vem literalmente varrendo a Europa. Estima-se que, nos últimos 2 anos, a Europa já recebeu mais e 1 MILHÃO de pessoas vindas de várias nações, em sua maioria, de tradição Islâmica em regiões do Oriente Médio, Ásia e África.
Como toda catástrofe, a crise humanitária migratória causada por guerras, perseguições políticas e religiosas vem provocando reações diversas, em sua maioria, negativas, não apenas por parte dos mais afetados pelo fluxo populacional, como a Europa, mas por uma onda de medo que atinge o Mundo inteiro. Um Mundo que, pela primeira vez, não padece por conflitos meramente ideológicos ou fruto da instabilidade econômica dos países que compõem a tradicional geopolítica global, mas enfrenta um choque entre civilizações: ocidente x oriente. Diante deste novo conflito, sobram incertezas e multiplicam-se as perguntas. Em 30 anos, o que restará do ocidente diante do recebimento dessas milhares de famílias que, além de suas dores e traumas, trazem consigo a religião, língua e tradições para o coração do Ocidente? Até que ponto a crise dos refugiados e a política supranacional praticada pela UE afeta a soberania dos países do velho continente? É lícito colocar em risco a segurança de seus próprios cidadãos em nome da tolerância religiosa e dos valores democráticos?
Já se disse que o medo jamais será um bom tutor. Decisões e ações impulsionadas pelo medo sempre levam para o agravamento do caos e acirramento das tensões. E se é verdade que a base da civilização ocidental, em boa parte, vem dos valores judaico-cristãos, nossa resposta `a crise não pode ser a violência, a rejeição ou a negação em forma de indiferença. Acreditamos que o Criador desse Mundo, que a si mesmo entregou (até a morte), tem as respostas para tão grande desafio. Seríamos nós, o seu corpo, essa resposta que o mundo aguarda?
Por entender que a crise dos refugiados é um fenômeno, que como uma tsunami é de enfrentamento inevitável e consequências devastadoras para todo o Ocidente, nos resta unir esforços para amenizar o impacto e fortalecer os valores que nos fizeram ser quem somos. Acredito que a forma como enfrentarmos essa crise definirá o nosso futuro.
A proposta do documentário é mostrar o perfil dos refugiados, assim como dos voluntários que trabalham em organizações de acolhimento aos refugiados em 3 diferentes países da Europa: Grécia, Alemanha e Holanda.
A necessidade de mão-de-obra qualificada nesses lugares não tem fim. Tradutores, agentes de saúde, educadores, engenheiros sanitários, administradores e tantos outros. Pessoas comuns, espalhadas por todo o mundo que atendam a um chamado e escolham dar o pouco que tem, qualquer conhecimento ou habilidade para amenizar o sofrimento de muitos. A idéia é levar ao conhecimento do grande público cristão, o “caminho das pedras”. Quais as principais necessidades dessas organizações? Qual o perfil do voluntariado? Como faço para ajudar? Quais os principais desafios nesses lugares? Como chegar até lá?
Ter um contato direto, através do voluntariado, com essas milhares de vítimas da pior face do Islã, vindos das nações mais fechadas do globo, é uma oportunidade única. A igreja ocidental precisa abraçar a chance de ser reformada pela prática de servir e reviver o calvário, dar a vida pelos seus “inimigos” e acreditar que o grão, uma vez morto, germinará.
Objetivo:
Mobilizar igrejas e cristãos de todo o mundo a tomarem a frente no trabalho de acolhimento e em uma reflexão mais positiva sobre a crise, trazendo não apenas os problemas que esta evidentemente representa, mas as soluções e as esperanças para o futuro.
Construindo o roteiro:
O documentário deverá ser costurado pela fala dos próprios refugiados, “personagens” que trarão o contexto da crise – o que os tirou de seus lugares de origem, as diferenças culturais por eles percebidas nos países que os acolheram, como encaram essas diferenças e o que esperam do futuro; e pela fala do voluntariado – o que os levou a sair de seus lugares de origem para ajudar refugiados, de que forma atuam nesses lugares e como lidam com as diferenças culturais e religiosas. A problemática – o acolhimento pode representar uma ameaça aos valores ocidentais (?) - pode ser exposta na fala de especialistas (missionários cristãos experientes dentro do contexto do Islã) – vale lembrar que o próprio relato dos refugiados deve falar muito, por si mesmo, características da cultura islâmica. As informações de como se dá o recrutamento do voluntariado e demais “serviços” devem vir em forma de “drops” destacados na fala dos líderes das organizações em deixas das histórias centrais: refugiados e voluntários. As organizações terão seus nomes, websites e contatos divulgados nos créditos, seguindo as orientações de segurança das próprias organizações/contatos/responsáveis. A cópia de todo material capturado e editado será ofertado `a organização para uso irrestrito da mesma.

Introduction:
The so-called "refugee crisis" has marked the last few years by the migratory tsunami that has literally swept Europe. It is estimated that over the past two years Europe has received more than 1 MILLION people from various nations, mostly from Islamic tradition in parts of the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Like all catastrophe, the humanitarian migratory crisis caused by wars, political and religious persecutions has provoked many different reactions, mostly negative ones, not only on those most affected by the flow of population, like Europe, but the whole world, hit by a wave of fear. A World that, for the first time, does not suffer from merely ideological conflicts or fruit of the economic instability of the countries that compose the traditional global geopolitics, but faces a clash between civilizations: West x East. Faced with this new conflict, uncertainties abound and questions are multiplied. In 30 years, what will remain of the West in the face of the reception of these thousands of families who, in addition to their pains and traumas, bring with them the religion, language and traditions to the heart of the West? To what extent does the refugee crisis and the supranational policy practiced by the EU affect the sovereignty of the countries of the old continent? Is it permissible to jeopardize the safety of its own citizens on behalf of religious tolerance and democratic values?
It has already been said that fear will never be a good tutor. Decisions and actions driven by fear always lead to worsening chaos and heightened tensions. And if it is true that the basis of Western civilization largely comes from Judeo-Christian values, our response to crisis can not be violence, rejection or denial in the form of indifference. We believe that the Creator of this World, which gave Himself (even unto death), has the answers to such a great challenge. Could it be us, his body, this response that the world awaits?
Understanding that the refugee crisis is a phenomenon, which as a tsunami requires an inevitable confrontation and brings devastating consequences for the entire West, we have to unite efforts to soften the impact and strengthen the values that made us who we are. I believe that the way we confront with this crisis will define our future.
The proposal of the documentary is to show the profile of refugees as well as volunteers working in organizations of refugee assistance in 3 different European countries: Greece, Germany and the Netherlands.
The need for skilled workers in these places has no end. Translators, health workers, educators, sanitary engineers, administrators and many others. Ordinary people, scattered all over the world who attend to a call and choose to give the little they have, any knowledge or ability to ease the suffering of many. The idea is to "teach the ropes" to the Christian public. What are the main needs of these organizations? What is the profile of volunteering? How do I help? What are the main challenges in these places? How to get there?
Having a direct contact, through volunteering, with these thousands of victims of the worst face of Islam, coming from the most closed nations of the globe, is an unique opportunity. The Western church needs to embrace the chance to be reformed by the practice of serving and reliving the calvary, giving up life for their "enemies" and believing that the seed, once dead, will germinate.
Objective:
To mobilize churches and Christians from all over the world to take the lead in the assisting work and in a more positive reflection on the crisis, bringing not only the problems that it clearly represents, but the solutions and hopes for the future.
Building the script:
The documentary should be portrayed by the refugees themselves, "characters" who will bring the context of the crisis (what took them from their places of origin, the cultural differences they perceived in the countries that welcomed them, how they see these differences and what they expect of the future); and by the speech of the volunteers (what led them to leave their places of origin to help refugees, how they operate in those places, and how they deal with cultural and religious differences). The problematic (the welcoming can represent a threat to the Western values [?]) can be exposed in the speech of experts (experienced Christian missionaries within the context of Islam); it is worth remembering that the refugee report itself should speak a lot, characteristics of Islamic culture. The information on how to recruit volunteers and other "services" should come in the form of "drops" highlighted in the speech of the leaders of the organizations in the hint of the central stories: refugees and volunteers. The organizations will have their names, websites and contacts disclosed in the credits, following the security guidelines of the organizations/contacts/responsibles. The copy of all captured and edited material will be offered to the organization for unrestricted use thereof.

A riqueza de recursos naturais encontradas no Brasil fornece serviços de ecossistema extremamente importantes para as comunidades humanas, dentre os quais, alimento, lazer, ciclagem de nutrientes, habitação, vestimentas, além de contribuir para a manutenção do clima. As sociedades denominadas tradicionais, que habitam o ecossistema da Amazônia brasileira, para obterem grande parte desses serviços, em geral necessitam coletar diretamente da natureza os recursos para a sua sobrevivência. Esses agentes sociais, denominados de seringueiros, pescadores artesanais, quilombolas, caiçaras, ribeirinhos, agricultores tradicionais, etc. (Diegues & Arruda 2001), ao longo do tempo construíram um largo conhecimento acerca do ambiente em que vivem, estabelecendo assim, uma relação de resiliência.
The wealth of natural resources found in Brazil provides ecosystem services that are extremely important to human communities, including food, leisure, nutrient cycling, housing, clothing, and contribute to climate maintenance. The so-called traditional societies that inhabit the ecosystem of the Brazilian Amazon, in order to obtain a large part of these services, generally need to collect directly from nature the resources for their survival. These social agents, called rubber tappers, artisanal fishermen, quilombolas, caiçaras, riverine people, traditional farmers, etc. (Diegues & Arruda 2001) over time have built up a broad knowledge of the environment in which they live, thus establishing a relationship of resilience.
Esse conhecimento está materializado na forma como concebem, coletam e utilizam os recursos disponíveis nos ambientes, e torna-se, essencial para a sobrevivência, sendo repassado, reorganizado e experienciado ao longo das gerações. É nesse sentido que Diegues & Arruda (2001) falam de uma etnobiodiversidade, que corresponde a riqueza da natureza da qual o homem participa nomeando-a, classificando-a e domesticando-a.
This knowledge is embodied in the way they conceive, collect, and utilize the resources available in the environments, and becomes essential for survival, being passed on, reorganized, and experienced over the generations. It is in this sense that Diegues & Arruda (2001) speak of an ethnobiodiversity, which corresponds to the wealth of the nature from which man participates by naming, classifying and domesticating.
Especificamente na desembocadura do rio Tocantins, denominada região do Baixo Tocantins, no litoral paraense, ao norte do Brasil, os povos tradicionais que aí vivem, criaram estratégias e formas de uso de recursos tendo em conta as dinâmicas e as técnicas de socialização dos recursos que aí se encontram. Essa região recebe o gigantesco volume d´água provenientes dos rios Amazonas e Tocantins e seus tributários, formando a grande diversidade de recursos naturais advindos dos diferentes ecossistemas.
Specifically at the mouth of the Tocantins River, known as the Baixo Tocantins region (Lower Tocantins) on the coast of Pará, in the north of Brazil, the traditional peoples who live there created strategies and ways of using resources, taking into account the dynamics and techniques of socialization of resource found there. This region receives the gigantic volume of water from the Amazon and Tocantins rivers and their tributaries, forming the great diversity of natural resources derived from the different ecosystems.
Contudo, grande parte dessa diversidade, biológica e sociocultural, nos últimos anos, vem sofrendo grandes impactos negativos devido a diversos tipos de pressão com a exploração desordenada dos recursos naturais - especialmente o desmatamento e mineração, as pressões econômicas de poderosos grupos sociais, a substituição da diversidade florestal por monocultivo de palmeiras de açaí (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) e dendê (Elaeis guineensis) -, os quais vem provocando anomalias locais que podem ter efeitos nas mudanças globais. A cobiça em torno dos recursos dessa região tem provocado pressões sociais e ambientais, dando margem à vulnerabilidades1 que se manifestam ante as mudanças ambientais e políticas, as quais impactam diretamente os grupos humanos e demais seres vivos desse ambiente, de uma forma ou outra.
However, much of this biological and sociocultural diversity in recent years has been negatively impacted by various types of pressure from the disorderly exploitation of natural resources - especially deforestation and mining, the economic pressures of powerful social groups, the substitution of forest diversity for monoculture of açaí palm (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) and dendê palm (Elaeis guineensis) - which have been causing local anomalies that can have effects on global changes. Greed around the region's resources has provoked social and environmental pressures, giving rise to vulnerabilities manifested by environmental and political changes that directly impact human groups and other living beings in this environment, in one way or another.
O presente trabalho objetiva refletir sobre os processos da mudança ambiental para grupos humanos que vivem no estuário amazônico, a partir da observação de suas estratégias na adaptação às mudanças ambientais locais, tendo como referencial seus processos de construção de territorialidade e na ampliação e enriquecimento da biodiversidade. Não obstante, no local em estudo, os impactos das mudanças são marcados tanto por efeitos das intempéries naturais, quanto por aqueles oriundos dos grandes empreendimentos minero metalúrgico e de logística, para descarregamento de grãos para exportação. Assim, tomou-se como objeto de investigação, duas comunidades: Ilha do Capim e Vila de Beja no rio Arienga, a primeira localizada em área de várzea, e a segunda em terra firme, visando identificar as dinâmicas os efeitos dos impactos socioambientais, no contexto de mudanças climáticas, e as capacidades adaptativas dos sujeitos e seus ecossistemas frente às mudanças ambientais.
The present work aims to reflect on the processes of environmental change for human groups living in the Amazon estuary, from the observation of their strategies in adapting to local environmental changes, having as reference their processes of territoriality construction and the expansion and enrichment of biodiversity. Nevertheless, in the study site, the impacts of the changes are marked by both natural inclemencies effects and those from large mining/metallurgical and logistic projects, for the unloading of grains for export. Thus, two communities were studied: Ilha do Capim (Capim Island) and Vila de Beja (Beja Village) in the Arienga river, the first one located in a floodplain area, and the second one in solid ground, in order to identify the dynamics of the effects of socio-environmental impacts, in the context of climate change, and the adaptive capacities of the subjects and their ecosystems in the face of environmental changes.
2. Materials and methods.
A pesquisa foi realizada com os pescadores e extrativistas da Ilha do Capim e com os roceiros e pescadores do rio Arienga, Vila de Beja, ambos localizados no município de Abaetetuba, vizinho ao município de Barcarena, onde se localiza o complexo minero-metalúrgico e portuário da Vila de Conde na confluência da foz do rio Tocantins e rio Pará, na região denominada Baixo Tocantins, no nordeste paraense. O trabalho contou com o universo de 26 pescadores/agricultores, sendo 18 na Ilha do Capim e 8 no rio Arienga selecionados aleatoriamente, para alcançar melhor detalhes investigativos a respeito de sua relação com o meio ambiente.
The research was carried out with the fishermen and extractivists of Capim Island and with the farmers and fishermen of the Arienga river, Vila de Beja (Village of Beja), both located in the municipality of Abaetetuba, next to the municipality of Barcarena, where the mining-metallurgical and port complex of Vila de Conde (Village of Conde) at the confluence of the mouth of the Tocantins river and the Pará river, in the region called Low Tocantins, in northeast Pará. The work took the universe of 26 fishermen/farmers, being 18 in the Capim Island and 8 in the Arienga river selected randomly, to obtain better investigative details regarding its relation with the environment.
Para essa pesquisa de natureza básica utilizou-se o método “história de vida”, para compreender o processo de mudança no modo de vida dos grupos analisados. Também se utilizou o princípio da analogia para estabelecer semelhanças e diferenças no estudo do fato geográfico estudado (Gomes, 1996, p. 212) e, portanto, o estabelecimento de pontos comuns para ascender à explicação das observações na várzea e na terra firme.
For this research of basic nature, the "life history" method was used to understand the process of change in the way of life of the analyzed groups. The principle of analogy was also used to establish similarities and differences in the study of the geographic fact (Gomes, 1996, p. 212) and, therefore, the establishment of common points to ascend to the explanation of the observations in the floodplain area and solid ground.
Para cada localidade foram realizadas quatro visitas, sendo duas no inverno e duas no verão, entre os meses de setembro de 2016 a abril de 2017. Como instrumentos de coleta de dados foram realizados os seguintes procedimentos: na Ilha do Capim foi realizada oficina de mapeamento social dos povos tradicionais da ilha. O objetivo da oficina foi fazer com que os participantes pudessem realizar sua auto cartografia, para demarcar e caracterizar territórios em disputa aos interesses socioambientais. Nos croquis por eles elaborados representa-se a visão que têm de seu espaço de vivencia e as transformações socioambientais que aí ocorrem, através das convenções específicas para explicar aspectos econômico e cultural, os vínculos ancestrais e simbólicos de seu território. Ao final houve a socialização dos croquis, nos quais os moradores relataram os impactos socioambientais que tem vivenciado.
For each locality, four visits were made, two in the winter and two in the summer, between September 2016 and April 2017. The following procedures were performed as instruments of data collection: a workshop of social mapping of the traditional peoples was held on the Capim Island. The objective of the workshop was to enable the participants to carry out their own cartography, to demarcate and characterize disputed territories to socio-environmental interests. Their sketches represent the vision they have of their living space and the socio-environmental transformations that occur there, through the specific conventions to explain economic and cultural aspects, the ancestral and symbolic ties of their territory. At the end there was the socialization of the sketches, in which the residents reported the socio-environmental impacts that they have experienced.
Para localizar os territórios de pesca desenhados nos croquis foi realizado treinamento aos pescadores para manusear aparelho de GPS (Global Positioning System) e proceder junto eles, as tomadas de ponto para localizar os pesqueiros. Também foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas, aplicação de questionários e conversas informais, os quais proporcionaram maior entendimento das práticas e estratégias dos sujeitos envolvidos na pesquisa. Com base nessas informações e técnicas realizou-se o mapa (Fig. 1).
In order to locate the fishing territories drawn in the sketches, the fishermen were trained to handle the GPS (Global Positioning System) device and to proceed with them, the points taken to locate the fishing grounds. Semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and informal conversations were also carried out, which provided a better understanding of the practices and strategies of the subjects involved in the research. Based on this information and techniques the map was produced (Fig. 1).
3. Results and discussions.
As entrevistas e narrativas indicam que a mudança na passagem do tempo está atrelada a problemas ambientais oriundos das empresas e projetos governamentais instalados no local.
Os entrevistados relacionam mudança climática à poluição. Por outro lado, mencionam “mudança do tempo” para se referir ao aumento da temperatura, que vem alterando suas dinâmicas na pesca, pois sentem-se vulneráveis à exposição excessiva aos raios solares, sentindo-se limitados em suas atividades. De igual modo, para os que trabalham na roça, no rio Arienga, Vila de Beja, a elevação da temperatura e modificação no regime de precipitação, alterou o calendário agroecológico. A plantação antes realizada entre os meses de outubro e dezembro, hoje é realizada entre janeiro e fevereiro, o que causa impacto na colheita. Com o processo de adaptação em curso, os roceiros têm experimentado outras variações nas espécies de mandioca e milho. Quanto a mandioca, as espécies mais produtivas e que tem suportado a elevação da temperatura, são as que na categoria êmica denominam-se “chapéu de couro” e “miriti”, ambas de cor amarela.
The interviews and narratives indicate that the change throughout time is tied to environmental problems from companies and governmental projects installed on the site.
Respondents relate climate change to pollution. On the other hand, they mention "change of weather" to refer to the increase in temperature, which has been changing their dynamics in fishing, because they feel vulnerable to excessive exposure to the sun's rays, feeling limited in their activities. Likewise, for those who work in the field, in the Arienga river, Village of Beja, the elevation of temperature and modification in the precipitation regime, altered the agroecological calendar. The plantation previously held between October and December, is now held between January and February, which has an impact on the harvest. With the adaptation process under way, the farmers have experienced other variations in cassava and maize species. As for cassava, the most productive species that have been able to withstand the elevation of temperature are those that in the anemic category are called "leather hat" and "miriti", both of a yellow color.
Delimitam como marcador temporal para o aumento da temperatura, o período de dez anos, o mesmo se aplica ao período de observação nas oscilações de precipitações. O nível de água na enchente é citado nas entrevistas, como indicador de variação, assim como o mês de ocorrência, que antes se dava em março e hoje, em abril.
Na Ilha do Capim, as plantações, especialmente de açaí, apresentam queda e sequidão dos frutos antes de amadurecer, esta anomalia foi verificada in loco durante a pesquisa.
No gráfico abaixo destaca-se uma síntese das mudanças percebida pelos pescadores e agricultores mencionados nas entrevistas:

Na ilha do Capim, a perda dos frutos nos sitios localizados na direção de Vila do Conde somam-se ao desaparecimento de espécies de peixes nos 32 pesqueiros identificados no mapa abaixo.

A diminuição do pescado nas localidades investigadas, força os pescadores a se deslocarem para distancias maiores, estendendo-se até a baía. Com isso há um aumento de gastos financeiros com combustível e aumento no tempo de espera para a captura do pescado.
4. Discussão
O mapeamento social, com base no conhecimento local de cada entrevistado, demonstra como os recursos são apropriados e modificados por agentes externos e apontam para um quadro de vulnerabilidade socioambiental nos dois ecossistemas: várzea e terra firme. De maneira geral, o quadro das alterações observadas nesse trecho do litoral amazônico, aponta para impactos ambientais2 e conflitos.
Indicativos de externalidades negativa, a instalação de grandes complexos industriais e portuários nas cercanias das comunidades investigadas, tendem a intensificar cada vez mais e agravar os problemas alí encontrados, como enfermidades na pele e estômago. Neste caso, vem ocorrendo uma vulnerabilidade culmulativa3, a qual se instaura gradativamente à medida que estes agentes externos se introduzem em seus territórios. Tal situação somam-se às alterações das mudanças climáticas e ameçam as condições de trabalho. Desse modo, até mesmo suas condições de sobrevivência encontram-se ameaçadas, pois a manutenção da vida está atrelada ao acesso a recursos naturais locais.
É previsto ainda a instalação de empresas minero-metalúrgica e de logística, bem como terminais hidroviários e ferroviário na região. Todavia é notório que a expansão desse modelo de uso intensivo das margens do rio, intensificará ainda mais os efeitos e desequilíbrios ambientais na região do Baixo Tocantins, pois à medida que se territorializam provocam danos a fauna e a flora. Ante a evidência do desaparecimento do pescado na localidade, as políticas empresariais propõem construção de tanques de psicultura no rio Arienga, contudo tal estratégia, aponta para uma dependencia ao mercado externo, não se caracterizando, portanto, como alternativa sustentavel a população tradicional.
5. Conclusão
O mapeamento social na área em estudo consiste em contribuição de pesquisa básica, para compreender os efeitos das dinâmicas e climáticas e impactos socioambientais no Baixo Tocantins. As estratégias do saber local, embora importantes, sozinhas não são suficientes para enfrentar as intempéries e dinâmicas locais e globais e com isso apresentam-se riscos à sociobiodiversidade, em ambos locais de pesquisa. No que diz respeito a perda de recursos naturais, como camarão e espécies de peixes, tem afetado um dos meios principais de subsistência que é a pesca e desse modo, a própria sobrevivência desses grupos humanos.
Os efeitos dessas ações impactam diretamente a vida dos pescadores artesanais, enquanto sócios da Colônia de Pescadores, os quais por esse motivo, dependem de políticas governamentais como o “seguro defeso”. Contudo correm o risco de perder esse benefício, pois ao se esgotarem os recursos pesqueiros da localidade, sua função deixará de fazer sentido,. Então, este é um risco o qual estão submetidos e que preocupa pescadores, agricultores e toda a população tradicional do litoral paraense amazônico.

Translation - English 1. Introduction.
The wealth of natural resources found in Brazil provides ecosystem services that are extremely important to human communities, including food, leisure, nutrient cycling, housing, clothing, and contribute to climate maintenance. The so-called traditional societies that inhabit the ecosystem of the Brazilian Amazon, in order to obtain a large part of these services, generally need to collect directly from nature the resources for their survival. These social agents, called rubber tappers, artisanal fishermen, quilombolas, caiçaras, riverine people, traditional farmers, etc. (Diegues & Arruda 2001) over time have built up a broad knowledge of the environment in which they live, thus establishing a relationship of resilience.
This knowledge is embodied in the way they conceive, collect, and utilize the resources available in the environments, and becomes essential for survival, being passed on, reorganized, and experienced over the generations. It is in this sense that Diegues & Arruda (2001) speak of an ethnobiodiversity, which corresponds to the wealth of the nature from which man participates by naming, classifying and domesticating.
Specifically at the mouth of the Tocantins River, known as the Baixo Tocantins region (Lower Tocantins) on the coast of Pará, in the north of Brazil, the traditional peoples who live there created strategies and ways of using resources, taking into account the dynamics and techniques of socialization of resource found there. This region receives the gigantic volume of water from the Amazon and Tocantins rivers and their tributaries, forming the great diversity of natural resources derived from the different ecosystems.
However, much of this biological and sociocultural diversity in recent years has been negatively impacted by various types of pressure from the disorderly exploitation of natural resources – especially deforestation and mining, the economic pressures of powerful social groups, the substitution of forest diversity for monoculture of açaí palm (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) and dendê palm (Elaeis guineensis) – which have been causing local anomalies that can have effects on global changes. Greed around the region's resources has provoked social and environmental pressures, giving rise to vulnerabilities1 manifested by environmental and political changes that directly impact human groups and other living beings in this environment, in one way or another.
The present work aims to reflect on the processes of environmental change for human groups living in the Amazon estuary, from the observation of their strategies in adapting to local environmental changes, having as reference their processes of territoriality construction and the expansion and enrichment of biodiversity. Nevertheless, in the study site, the impacts of the changes are marked by both natural inclemencies effects and those from large mining-metallurgical and logistic projects, for the unloading of grains for export. Thus, two communities were studied: Ilha do Capim (Capim Island) and Vila de Beja (Beja Village) in the Arienga river, the first one located in a floodplain area, and the second one in solid ground, in order to identify the dynamics of the effects of socio-environmental impacts, in the context of climate change, and the adaptive capacities of the subjects and their ecosystems in the face of environmental changes.
2. Materials and methods.
The research was carried out with the fishermen and extractivists of Capim Island and with the farmers and fishermen of the Arienga river, Vila de Beja (Beja Village), both located in the municipality of Abaetetuba, next to the municipality of Barcarena, where the mining-metallurgical and port complex of Vila de Conde (Village of Conde) at the confluence of the mouth of the Tocantins river and the Pará river, in the region called Low Tocantins, in northeast Pará. The work took the universe of 26 fishermen/farmers, being 18 in the Capim Island and 8 in the Arienga river selected randomly, to obtain better investigative details regarding its relation with the environment.
For this research of basic nature, the “life history” method was used to understand the process of change in the way of life of the analyzed groups. The principle of analogy was also used to establish similarities and differences in the study of the geographic fact (Gomes, 1996, p. 212) and, therefore, the establishment of common points to ascend to the explanation of the observations in the floodplain area and solid ground.
For each locality, four visits were made, two in the winter and two in the summer, between September 2016 and April 2017. The following procedures were performed as instruments of data collection: a workshop of social mapping of the traditional peoples was held on the Capim Island. The objective of the workshop was to enable the participants to carry out their own cartography, to demarcate and characterize disputed territories to socio-environmental interests. Their sketches represent the vision they have of their living space and the socio-environmental transformations that occur there, through the specific conventions to explain economic and cultural aspects, the ancestral and symbolic ties of their territory. At the end there was the socialization of the sketches, in which the residents reported the socio-environmental impacts that they have experienced.
In order to locate the fishing territories drawn in the sketches, the fishermen were trained to handle the GPS (Global Positioning System) device and to proceed with them, the points taken to locate the fishing grounds. Semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and informal conversations were also carried out, which provided a better understanding of the practices and strategies of the subjects involved in the research. Based on this information and techniques the map was produced (illus. 1).
3. Results and discussions.
The interviews and narratives indicate that the change throughout time is tied to environmental problems from companies and governmental projects installed on the site.
Respondents relate climate change to pollution. On the other hand, they mention “change of weather” to refer to the increase in temperature, which has been changing their dynamics in fishing, because they feel vulnerable to excessive exposure to the sun's rays, feeling limited in their activities. Likewise, for those who work in the field, in the Arienga river, Beja Village, the elevation of temperature and modification in the precipitation regime, altered the agroecological calendar. The plantation previously held between October and December, is now held between January and February, which has an impact on the harvest. With the adaptation process under way, the farmers have experienced other variations in cassava and maize species. As for cassava, the most productive species that have been able to withstand the elevation of temperature are those that in the emic category are called “leather hat” and “miriti”, both of a yellow color.
They delimit as a temporal marker for the increase in temperature the period of ten years, the same applies to the period of observation in the oscillations of precipitations. The level of water in the flood is mentioned in the interviews, as an indicator of variation, as well as the month of occurrence, which was previously in March and today, in April.
In the Capim Island, plantations, especially of açaí, present a drop and dryness of the fruits before maturing, this anomaly was verified in loco during the research.

In the Capim Island, the loss of fruit in the sites located in the direction of Village of Conde is added to the disappearance of fish species in the 32 fishing grounds identified in the map below.
The decrease of the fish in the investigated localities, forces the fishermen to move for greater distances, extending to the bay. Because of that there is an increase of financial expenses with fuel and increase in the standby time for the catch of the fish.
4. Discussion.
The social mapping, based on the local knowledge of each interviewee, demonstrates how resources are appropriated and modified by external agents and point to a socioenvironmental vulnerability situation in the two ecosystems: floodplain and solid ground. In general, the changes observed in this stretch of the Amazonian coast points to environmental impacts2 and conflicts.
Indicative of negative externalities, the installation of large industrial and port complexes in the vicinity of the communities investigated, tend to intensify more and aggravate the problems found there, such as skin and stomach diseases. In this case, a cumulative vulnerability3 has been occurring, which is gradually established as these external agents enter their territories. This situation adds up to changes in climate change and compromises working conditions. In this way, even their conditions of survival are jeoprdized, because the maintenance of life is tied to access to local natural resources.
It is also planned the installation of mining-metallurgical and logistics companies, as well as waterway and rail terminals in the region. However, it is notorious that the expansion of this model of intensive riverbank use will further increase the environmental effects and imbalances in the Low Tocantins region, because as they become territorial they cause damage to fauna and flora. Given the evidence of the disappearance of the fish in the locality, the business policies propose the construction of tanks of pisciculture in the Arienga river, but this strategy points to a dependence on the external market, not being characterized, therefore, as a sustainable alternative to the traditional population.
5. Conclusion.
The social mapping in the studied area consists of a basic research contribution to comprehend the effects of climatic dynamics and socioenvironmental impacts in the Low Tocantins. The strategies of the local knowledge, however important, alone are not enough to deal with local and global inclemencies and dynamics, and thus present risks to socio-biodiversity in both research sites. With regard to the loss of natural resources such as shrimp and fish species, it has affected one of the main means of subsistence that is fishing, and thus the very survival of these human groups.
The effects of these actions directly impact the lives of artisanal fishermen, as members of the Fishermen's Colony, which for this reason, depend on government policies such as "secured insurance". However, they take the risk of losing this benefit, because once the local fishery resources are ended up, its function will no longer make sense. So, this is a risk that they are subjected to and that worries the fishermen, farmers and the entire traditional population of the Amazon coast.

Source text - Portuguese Dinâmicas climáticas e vulnerabilidades: a cartografia social do Baixo Tocantins no estuário amazônico.
Na região do Baixo Tocantins, estuário amazônico, encontram-se dezenas de ilhas cortadas por rios, igarapés, furos, baías, praias e costas. É também nessa região que grandes projetos de multinacionais, tais como os de mineração e de logística, tem se instalado afetando o delicado equilíbrio ambiental dos ecossistemas do delta do Tocantins, que recebe o gigantesco volume d´água provenientes dos rios Amazonas, Tocantins e seus tributários, contribuindo assim para a formação da grande diversidade de recursos naturais nos seus diferentes ecossistemas. Diante dessa situação, os grupos humanos que aí vivem, enfrentam limitações para dar seguimento a seus modos de vida. Essas limitações se encontram tanto no campo biofísico quanto sociopolítico impossibilitando-os a exercerem outros métodos no manejo dos recursos; a manifestação das intempéries naturais, dentre os quais, incidentes climáticos, vem causando impactos negativos nas colheitas, pesca, aquicultura e nos meios de vida dessas pessoas. A cobiça em torno desses recursos tem provocado pressões sociopolíticas e ambientais, dando margem a vulnerabilidades que se manifestam ante essas situações. Com este estudo busca-se contextualizar essas dinâmicas, a partir da cartografia socioambiental, e assim, identificar e analisar as adaptações dos grupos locais em meio as mudanças, tendo em vista esses pressupostos.

Translation - English Climatic dynamics and vulnerabilities: the social cartography of Baixo Tocantins [Lower Tocantins] in the Amazonian estuary.
In the Lower Tocantins, Amazonian estuary, there are dozens of islands cut by rivers, streams, water holes, bays, beaches and coasts. It is also in this region that large multinational projects, such as mining and logistics, have been installed affecting the delicate environmental balance of the ecosystems of the Tocantins delta, which receives the gigantic volume of water from the Amazon river, Tocantins river and its tributaries, contributing to the formation of the great diversity of natural resources in their different ecosystems. Faced with this situation, the human groups that live there face constraints to keep their ways of life. These constraints are found both in the biophysical and sociopolitical fields, making it impossible for them to exercise other methods in the management of resources; the manifestation of natural inclemencies, including climatic incidents, has been causing negative impacts on crops, fisheries, aquaculture and the livelihoods of these people. Greed around these resources has provoked socio-political and environmental pressures, giving rise to vulnerabilities that manifest themselves in these situations. This study aims to contextualize these dynamics, based on socio-environmental cartography, and thus, identify and analyze the adaptations of local groups in the midst of changes, in view of these assumptions.

Source text - English O artigo reflete sobre elementos e ideias acerca da sociobiodiversidade e da diversidade epistêmica, em sua contribuição ao curso Educação do Campo, a partir de conceitos e interpretações sobre o tema. Destacam-se as políticas socioambientais tendo como recorte para análise, a região do Baixo Tocantins, no município de Abaetetuba-PA. Nesse sentido assinala-se que a valorização da sociobiodiversidade do lugar contribui para o diálogo entre os saberes acadêmicos e saberes locais e assim dá suporte para a compreensão das relações socioambientais atuais, haja vista as problemáticas que os sujeitos enfrentam no campo social, ambiental, educacional e econômico.
Translation - Portuguese The article reflects on elements and ideas about socio-biodiversity and epistemic diversity, in its contribution to the "Educação no Campo" course (Education on the Countryside), based on concepts and interpretations about the theme. The socio-environmental policies are highlighted having as snip for analysis the "Baixo Tocantins" region (Low Tocantins), in the municipality of Abaetetuba-PA. In this matter it is notable that the appreciation of the socio-biodiversity of the place contributes to the dialogue between academic knowledge and local knowledge, and thus it gives support to the comprehension of current socio-environmental relations, considering the problematics that the subjects have to face on the social, environmental, educational and economical field.
