Source text - English The true history of Freemasonry is much in its character like the history of a nation; It has its historic and its prehistoric era. In its historic era, the institution can be regularly traced through various antecedent associations, similar in design and organization, to a comparatively remote period. Its connection with these associations can be rationally established by authentic documents and by other evidence which no historian would reject.
For the prehistoric era—that which connects it with the mysteries of the pagan world, and with the old priests of Eleusis, of Samothrace, or of Syria— let us honestly say that we no longer treat of Freemasonry under its present organization, which we know did not exist in those days, but of a science peculiar, and peculiar only, to the Mysteries and to Freemasonry, a science which we may call Masonic symbolism, and which constituted the very heart-blood of the ancient and the modern institutions, and gave to them, while presenting a dissimilarity of form, an identity of spirit. In connecting and tracing the germ of Freemasonry in those prehistoric days, although guided by no documents, and no authentic spoken or written narratives on which to rely, we find fossil thoughts embalmed in those ancient intellects precisely like the living ones which crop out in modern Masonry, and which, like the fossil shells and fishes of the old physical formations of the earth, show by their resemblance to living specimens the graduated connection of the past with the present.
Translation - Bengali ফ্রিমেসনারির সত্যিকার ইতিহাসের সাথে একটি জাতির ইতিহাসের অনেক অংশে মিল আছে। যে কোন জাতির মতো ফ্রিমেসনারিরও আছে ঐতিহাসিক এবং প্রাগৈতিহাসিক যুগ। ঐতিহাসিক যুগে এই সংগঠনকে নানা রকম সমসাময়িক দলের মাধ্যমে চিহ্নিত করা যায়, যাদের নকশা এবং গঠন ছিল একই রকম। এসব দলের সাথে ফ্রিমেসনারির সংযোগকে প্রমাণ করার জন্য পাওয়া যায় নানা দলিল এবং অন্যান্য তথ্য, যে গুলো কোন ঐতিহাসিকই নাকচ করে দিতে পারেননি।
প্রাগৈতিহাসিক যুগের কথা – অর্থাৎ যে যুগে ফ্রিমেসনারির সাথে সংযুক্ত ছিল বহু-ঈশ্বরবাদী (Pagan) সময়ের রহস্যময় ইতিহাস, সেই সাথে ইলিউসিস (Eleusis), সামোথ্রেস (Samothrace) এবং সিরিয়ার প্রাচীন পুরোহিতগণ – তার সাথে বর্তমানে আমরা যে ফ্রিমেসনারিকে চিনি তার কোন মিলই নেই। সে সময় যা ছিল তা সম্পূর্ণ আলাদা এক বিজ্ঞান, যাকে আমরা বলতে পারি মেসনিক প্রতীকবাদ। এর মাধ্যমেই গঠিত হয় প্রাচীন এবং আধুনিক সংগঠনসমূহের প্রধান ভিত্তি। তাদের বাহ্যিক চেহারায় অমিল থাকলেও সবারই আভ্যন্তরীন রূপ একই ছিল। এই প্রাগৈতিহাসিক যুগে ফ্রিমেসনারির শেকড়কে চিহ্নিত করতে গিয়ে আমাদের সাহায্য করে প্রাচীন বুদ্ধিজীবিদের বিভিন্ন চিন্তাধারা, যেগুলো আমাদের কাছ পর্যন্ত প্রবাহিত হয়েছে। তবে এ ব্যাপারে কোন সঠিক দলিল, মৌখিক বা লিখিত প্রমাণ পাওয়া যায়নি। মাটির বুকে প্রাগৈতিহাসিক পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন জীবাশ্মের মতোই তাদের কথাগুলো আমাদের কাছে সেই সময়ের অবস্থা বুঝে নিতে সাহায্য করে।

Bio
I completed my graduation and masters in microbiology and right now I am working on my Ph.D. I started my professional life as a writer/translator in Bangladesh and worked on that field for more than five years. In this time I translated more than 25 books from English to Bengali. I also worked as an assistant editor and article writer in electronic media in the meantime.
As a freelance translator, I got my primary expertise from my habit of reading. I have been an avid reader of the literature in both English and Bengali - which I believe has honed my skills in those languages. I feel that languages are one of my strong points and I was always apt at learning them quickly. I love to play with words and feel energized after reading something that excites and amazes the mind with verbosity and eloquence.
I got the chance to start translating from English to Bengali after one of the reputed publishers in Bangladesh arranged a translation competition where I took part and won. I was selected to translate one of the brightest gems of world literature - "The Hobbit" in Bengali for them which paved the way for me to work more on this field. The books that I translated was received well by the publishers and the readers.
In this time I also started working online for clients both at home and abroad, for whom I performed jobs like translation, transcription, transliteration, and editing. In my translation career, I have gathered experience by working on widespread topics like politics, administration, finances, medical science, biological science, commercial projects, arts, economics, law, agriculture, science and technology, development, nature, international organizations, sports, culture, and many others.
I believe that being a translator is not about only making money, but helping people cross the language barrier across the world and conveying the messages from one language to another. This makes it one of the most revered and important jobs to me which I have taken as my passion. Each project that I successfully complete makes me strive for further quality in my work. I always try to prioritize the demands of my clients above everything and make sure that they get everything that they asked with the highest amount of reliability, quality in the least amount of time.
My payment for different projects vary accordingly, and often times, based on the nature, volume, and urgency of the project, I adjust it after negotiation.
