Hello, I am an arts writer and Spanish to English Translator.  I received my undergraduate degree from New York University, with a double major in Spanish and Latin American Literature and Art History.  I write artists bios, critical essays, and exhibition reviews from my 8 years of working in contemporary art.  For a sample of my writing, please visit my website:

Korean is my mother tongue, but as I was born and raised in Los Angeles, English has now become the language I am most comfortable speaking.  I have lived abroad in Seoul, Buenos Aires, and Madrid.  Currently, I am based in Mexico City.

I am working as a volunteer translator with three non-profit organizations.   I work with Esperanza Immigration Rights Project in Los Angeles to translate declarations, contracts, and birth/death certificates.  I also occasionally serve as a Spanish interpreter at I-589 workshops.

I also work with the Beloit Center for Survivors of Domestic Violence to translate internal documents.  Recently, I contributed to a 90-page informational handbook for survivors of domestic violence.

Finally, I work with an organization based in Guatemala called Unlocking Silent Histories.   USH is committed to providing indigenous youth with workshops and equipment to create documentary films that represent their own histories, cultures, and languages.   I translate contracts and internal documents.

Keywords: art, literary, immigration, human rights, contracts, litigation documents, interviews, transcription
