تبيَّن أن مخلوط العسل ومسحوق القرفة يُشفي من معظم الأمراض. والعسل يُنتَج في معظم بلدان العالم. والعلماء المعاصرون يتقبَّلون حقيقة أنَّ العسل دواء ذو فعَّاليَّة عالية ضدَّ الأمراض. ولا توجد آثار جانبيَّة في استعماله دواءً في جميع الأمراض.
أوردت مجلَّة (ويكلي وورلد نيوز) الكنديَّة في عددها الصادر في 17 يناير (كانون ثانٍ) 1995 قائمة الأمراض التالية التي يمكن معالجتها بالعسل والقرفة كما أكَّدتها أبحاث علماء غربيين.
أمراض القلب:
اصنع عجينة من العسل ومسحوق القرفة، وادهنها على قطعة خبزٍ بدلاً من المربَّى أو معقود الفواكه وتناولها بانتظام على الفطور. إنَّها تقلِّل الدهون (كولسترول) في الأوعية الدمويَّة، وتقي المرضى من النوبات القلبيَّة. وإذا ما داوم الذين أصيبوا بنوبة قلبية سابقًا على هذا النظام، فإنَّهم يبعدون إصابتهم بها مجدًّدًا مسافات طويلة. اتباع هذا النظام يوميًّا باستمرار يحول دون احتباس التنفُّس ويقوَّي نبض القلب. تمَّ في عدد من بيوت التمريض (مشافٍ) في كندا والولايات المتَّحدة استعمال هذا (النظام الغذائي) بنجاح على نزلائها، وتبيَّن أنَّ التقدُّم في العمر يُفقد الأوعية الدمويَّة والشرايين مرونتها ممَّا يعمل على انسدادها، ويعيد العسل والقرفة لها حيويِّتها.
تلبٌّك المعدة:
تناول مسحوق القرفة والعسل يُخلِّص من آلام المعدة، ويزيل قرحات المعدة من جذورها.
جهاز المناعة:
تناول العسل ومسحوق القرفة يوميًّا يقوِّي جهاز المناعة، ويحمي الجسم من النوبات البكتيريَّة والفيروسيَّة. لقد وجد العلماء أنَّ العسل يحتوي كميَّات كبيرة من الفيتامينات والحديد. تناول العسل بصورة دائمة يقوَّي الكريات البيضاء التي تقاوم الأمراض البكتيريَّة والفيروسيَّة.
سوء الهضم:
رش مسحوق القرفة على ملعقتين عسل قبل الفطور يقضي على الحموضة ويساعد على هضم أثقل الوجبات.
تخسيس الوزن:
تناول كوبٍ من الماء المغلي بالعسل ومسحوق القرفة نصف ساعة قبل وجبة الفطور صباحًا، وقبل النوم مساءً يوميًّا، إذا ما أخذ بانتظام يخسِّس الوزن حتَّى في أكثر الأجسام سُمنة. الاستمرار في شرب هذا المشروب بانتظام يحول دون تجمُّع الدهون في الجسم حتَّى ولو تمَّ تناول أطعمة دسمة جدًّا.
السرطان:
أظهرت أبحاث حديثة في اليابان وأستراليا بأنَّ الشفاء التام من سرطان المعدة والعظام المتقدِّم قد تمَّ بنجاح. المرضى الذين يعانون من هذه الأنواع من السرطان، يجب أن يتناولوا ملعقة شاي صغيرة من العسل ومثلها من مسحوق القرفة ثلاث مرَّات يوميًّا لمدَّة شهر.
رائحة الفم الكريهة:
شعوب أمريكا الجنوبيَّة يتغرغرون بخليط من الماء الساخن وملعقة صغيرة من العسل ومسحوق القرفة أوَّل شيء في الصباح لكي تبقى رائحة أفواههم طيِّبة طوال اليوم.

Art and Aesthetics in Islam:
Art and aesthetics are of special significance in Islam for four reasons:
First, they are a sign of appreciation of God's splendid creation and arrangement of the universe, and this is what we are told of in the Quran "Soon will We show them Our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth" (Fussilat, 53)
By looking at the universe from this global perspective, the enlightened individual would be in a dual position whereby he looks at creation as a lesson to learn from, but also as an example to follow in rendering creative works.
Second, aside from being an ample evidence for God's "ableness", aesthetics is also an attribute of divine creativity, being a source of adornment ("And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment") (Annahl: 8) which is commonly known to be attached not to a specific function but to the elevation of human taste and the training of one's eyes and ears to appreciate beauties.
Third, there is linguistic aesthetics that received due attention from the Quran and the Sunnah (Prophet's traditions), and the Islamic civilization at large. The very verses of the Quran attest to a unique and most refined rhetoric, which, no wonder, inspired Abdul Qaher Al-Jirjani (a fifth hijri century Islamic scholar) to notice, in his celebrated book "Dalae' Al-I'jaz (Proof of Miraculousness)", the strong affinity that the miraculous nature of the Quran has with words, which were beautiful as they would stand alone, and no less beautiful when weaved together in their respective contexts.

الموضوع الفني والجمالي في الإسلام:
يبدو الموضوع الفني والجمالي في الإسلام أساسياً لأربعة أسباب:
الأول يتعلق بالإطلاع على الإبداع في الخلق والترتيب الإلهي للكون ونظامه ويبدو ذلك في مثل قوله تعالى (سنريهم آياتنا في الآفاق وفي أنفسهم حتى يتبين لهم أنه الحق من ربهم( [سورة فصلت: 53]
فهذه الرؤية الكونية الشاملة للخلق تضع الإنسان المتبصر في موضع المعتبر والعامل في الوقت نفسه على السير على نهج هذا الإبداع.
والثاني أن الله سبحانه وتعالى ذكر في القرآن الكريم أيضاً أنه من سمات الإبداع الإلهي إضافة لإثبات القدرة، الموضوع الجمالي، باعتباره زينة وذلك في مثل قوله تعالى (والخيل والبغال والحمير لتركبوها وزينة)، والزينة كما معروف لا ترتبط بوظيفة عملية محددة بل ترتبط بترقية الذوق الإنساني والتدريب على الاستمتاع بالجماليات في الأمور المعنوية والبصرية.
والثالث : اهتمام القرآن الكريم والآثار النبوية والتجربة الحضارية الإسلامية بموضوع الجماليات اللغوية ففي القرآن الكريم هناك موضوع الإعجاز وينصب في معظمه على التفرد والإبداع والجمال اللغوي ، بل إن عبد القاهر الجرجاني كما هو معروف إنما ربط الإعجاز بموضوع النظم أي جماليات تركيب المفردات بحيث تبدو كل كلمة جميلة بحد ذاتها وجميلة في السياق الذي وردت فيه.
