I am a native Spanish
speaker from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Regarding my education I studied English
for many years and then took translation classes. Then, I decided to come to
the United States and chose Las Vegas. I went to college and completed a degree
in Hotel Management. Later, I realized that I really wanted to change my career
to education, so I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Spanish for the Professions
with a minor in French. This year, I became a certified translator and I took a Medical Interpreter course.

career background is varied. I used to work in a Stock Clearing Company in
Buenos Aires for many years. My favorite part consisted in translating business
documents, letters, faxes, and interpreting into Spanish for coworkers. In Las Vegas, I worked in a
casino as a pit clerk and in a couple or restaurants.

Currently, I work as an
Instructional Assistant in an elementary school helping students with
disabilities. Furthermore, I help interpreting for parents and teachers. When
needed, I volunteer translating flyers, letters, and announcements for the
school. In addition, I tutor Spanish, ESL, reading, writing, and math for
elementary school students.

as a translator is an exciting and rewarding profession. Even though I just
obtained my translator certification, the field that I have the most practice
in is Education. In addition, I love translating self-help texts and
non-fiction short books for children. Continuing education is a passion for me,
so any time that I am interested in a topic, I just learn about it. Languages
fascinate me because I can help people to communicate, travel, and know about
other cultures.

I just obtained my Translator Certification, I decided to accept short
assignments until I acquire more experience and feel more comfortable. I want
to offer my best work and use the skills I learned. In addition, respecting
deadlines and translating only the areas of expertise makes customers happy. As
a result, I will feel glad and proud of my job.

strengths are, my work ethic, love for learning, patience, and working under
pressure. In my spare time, I love
exercising with my DVD’s at home. Exercising gives me energy and makes me feel
great. Moreover, I enjoy reading mystery books, listening to jazz, classical,
and soft music. My passion is to travel and to visit interesting places.
