I'm a native Norwegian speaker who has lived and worked in the United Kingdom for many years.
I have experience working on projects where I've had to:
• Have an eye for detail, ensuring that the highest quality is achieved for the client. • Work towards strict deadlines whilst keeping an eye on the quality of the work provided. • Translate complex technical and pharmaceutical content from Norwegian to English, which shows my understanding and competence in both languages.
My professional experience include working for Viasat Broadcasting Ltd in London as a Norwegian Compliance Advisor. I therefore have considerable experience of working with Norwegian broadcasting content, including marketing campaigns and commercials, as well as famous Norwegian TV shows. My work also included proofreading of subtitles, as I was closely working with the Subtitle department.
This is a field I would like to explore further professionally, together with transcription as I love the spoken word as much as the written word.
I read, write, speak and listen to both Norwegian and English everyday through my work, interacting with family and friends. as well as enjoying my love of literature; Krisitin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset is my favourite book.
