Born in Marseille, France, in a French/Spanish family I grew up speaking French and Marseille dialect natively and being exposed to other languages such as Spanish.
Linguist at heart from an early age I taught myself English during my childhood and became fluent by the age of 18.
I began my studies in English language, linguistics and literature in 2003 and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Nice in 2006 with a major in Communications and Translation.
After university I travelled, lived, worked and volunteered in various places in England, Ireland, Japan, Austria, until moving back to France in 2013.
My professional background and area of expertise are in translation management and coordination work for international Christian charities and organisations, though I do have other interests and am open to working for different clients.
I am very motivated, have an eye for detail and understand cultural differences and their implications on translation.
Though only officially registred as a freelance translator since January 2018, I believe my years of experience in the translation and communications fields prior to that make me a competent candidate.
