Source text - English Social medicine teaching aims at enabling students to distinguish between
different levels of studying health and the specific tasks of health professionals on the
level of public health. The course also aims at developing skills of autonomous analysis
and evaluation of public health indicators and relating this study to appropriate measures
at local, national and international level.
The programme is organized in two parts:
1. Fundamental part of public health – scope and methods of public health
2. The practice of public health
At the end of the course students should be able to:
• Define the subject field of social medicine;
• Apply the socio-medical approach and to prepare social history of disease;
• Define health and public health;
• Enlist the main public health indicators;
• Be familiar with the main principles of organization and functioning of health
systems and the main criteria for health systems assessment;
• Be familiar with the key strategies of WHO for primary health care
development and health promotion;
Translation - Italian L’insegnamento della medicina sociale si propone di fornire agli studenti la capacità di distinguere livelli differenti di studio sulla salute e sui compiti specifici delle professioni sanitarie a livello della salute pubblica. Il corso inoltre si propone di sviluppare le competenze di valutazione e analisi autonoma degli indicatori di salute pubblica e relativamente a questo studio per le misure appropriate a livello locale, nazionale e internazionale.

2. pratica della salute pubblica
Alla fine del corso gli studenti saranno capaci di :
• Definire il campo individuale della medicina sociale;
• Applicare l’approccio socio- medico e preparare la storia sociale della malattia;
• Definire la salute e la salute pubblica;
• elencare i principali indicatori della salute pubblica;
• Prendere confidenza con gli strumenti principali di organizzzione e di funzione del sistema sanitario e i principali criteri di valutazione dei sistemi sanitari;
• Prendere confidenza con le strategie chiave dell’OMS per lo sviluppo dei punti di primo intervento e la promozione della salute

My name is Romina Termite, Italian interpreter and translator. I have been working as a freelancer for many years now and time to time I avail myself of the collaboration of other interpreters and translators all over the world.
