I translate video games.

The things I do that are my work:

- getting to know the game if possible (playing alpha, reading wiki, watching Let's play videos),

- translating the game using the CAT tool memoq (in the process: keeping to character limitations, putting tags/variables where they should be, localise content were needed),

- implementing query answers and feedback from client.

I also proofread translated video game content.

I have been localising games since 2015, my wordcount of translated/proofread words is nearing 2 million now. And I enjoy my work.

These are my rates (wordcount for source text):

Translation tasks for agency: 0,07 Euro/word

Translation tasks for direct customer: 0,11 Euro/word (two-man rule: an additional proofreader is included)

Proofreading of translated texts: 0,04 Euro/word

Keywords: localisation, gaming, video games, game content, MMORPG, RPG
