Bio

I am a working automotive professional and translate for German and English speaking automotive companies and suppliers part-time. In addition, I have translated for German education (print, video), as well as periodicals and academic papers.

I add value to my clients translation projects by finding the perfect translation for every situation. I do not translate word-for-word, but rather in context, original intent, and meaning. I am familiar will abbreviations and specialized words from the automotive sector as well as OEM internal terminology.

My professional background is in the German automotive industry. After studying international economics at the University of TN and the University of Bonn, Germany I began my career in Munich, with BMW in 1997.

I have held positions as project manager for many automotive products (Rolls Royce Phantom, X3, X5, 5, Passat, Atlas) as well as process improvement and organizational development projects

I hold a BA/BS degree in Transportation and Logistics/ German as well as an MBA in Supply Chain Management.

In total, I lived, studied, and worked for more than 16 years in Germany. I speak German on a daily basis with colleagues, friends, and family.

I currently work for Volkswagen in Chattanooga TN, USA.
