Bio

Your choice for literary, academic and audiovisual translation

While still a Translation student, I've been translating literature for fun since I was a thirteen-year-old kid attempting to read the last Harry Potter book before the Spanish translation hit the market, and working on-and-off as a freelancer for a couple years now.

I'm an avid poetry reader and writer and an illustrator on the side, with two years in art school under my belt. I speak a bit of French and a tiny bit of Portuguese and Italian, and I hope to get a French translation degree once I've finished my English Translation course.

FREELANCE EXPERIENCE

During 2011 and 2012 I worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and writer for Lagunadentro Magazine, a local publication based in Guaminí, Argentina. I've been also publishing media criticism and opinion pieces ever since, with pieces at NerdyPoC, MsEnScene and Revista Chocha

I started taking on small translation jobs in 2012, and my first big project came in 2016 with a movie script translation from Spanish to English. The movie, Just Somebody's Son, is being produced by Lupa Productions.

In 2017 I transcribed, captioned, translated and subtitled In My Shoes, an eight episode documentary created by C.A. Hidalgo for the MIT Media Lab. Most recently, I translated the script for, and then translated and subtitled, the film Bahía Blanca, directed by Rodrigo Caprotti.

CURRENTLY

Since 2018 I've been part of a long-term MIT Media Lab project, mainly transcribing and translating subject interviews from Spanish to English.
