When I was a teenager I always wanted to become a translator... but I thought, or my dad thought, that I can't make a living out of languages. So I decided to study biomedical engineering since I have always loved maths and biology. Because I wasn't sure if I can survive the first year at the university I sent an application to the Faculty of Arts, studying programme German studies. And I was accepted. A few years later, which is now, I do work as a translator and I do use my knowledge gained at the Faculty of Electrotechnics as well. Everything happens for a reason. I studied at two universities in order (apparently) to deal with technical and medical translation :).
