Professional practices Sarah Maidstone endorses's Professional Guidelines.

In addition to sound linguistic skills, I have a dual professional background in SAP software and Early Years teaching.

Following completion of an MA(Hons) degree in English Language and German at the University of Glasgow, I spent 16 years at SAP headquarters in Germany, working first as a translator, then a technical writer in CRM and latterly as a solution manager for security and identity & access management (IAM).

I also hold an International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy, and have worked with young children and their parents, giving me insight into child development and related fields.

In 2020, I returned to my first love, translation, using the breadth and depth of professional experience gained in the intervening years to inform my work. My active and abiding interest in both music and nutrition provide further areas of expertise. I am also happy to undertake assignments involving editing, proofreading, and technical writing.
