Born and raised in South Korea, I went to an international university in Bremen, Germany. I spent 4 years in Germany, but my study language was English. After coming back to Korea, I worked as a sales support in a company called Sartorius Korea Biotech. I did some translation work, mainly manuals of medical devices, but it was not my main duty. Since August 2020, I started my master's degree in translation and interpreting at Korea-Macquarie University. For 2 years, I studied as part-time student while working, and I completed the last semester as a full time student after quitting my job. In the meantime, I did an internship at RWS Korea as a translator intern, learning to translate various types of texts in the field of life science including medical devices, healthcare and insurance. Also, I learned to use Trados CAT tool during my internship. |
