No matter how amazing and innovating a product is, if it does not come with well-translated and explained documentations, how can it be enjoyed by users around the world?
Hi. My name is Nozomi. I'm an English to Japanese translator, working mainly in the IT and its related fields, and I've been helping companies around the world to bring their products and ideas into the Japanese market for nearly 20 years. Translated materials, such as website, blog articles, manuals, other documentations, marketing collateral, and so on, are keys to introduce products and services into markets.
Translation is not a work of heartless machine. It requires not only language skills but also understanding a culture of target audience. It's not just a culture in a geological term, but also of ethnicity, gender, generation, working industry or sector, employment, and so on. My role, as a translator, and a human translator, is to produce translations that convey the meaning and feeling of the document publisher to another human being that reads in a different language. I am the interface.
