A native speaker of English with over 11 years' translation experience, I hold a Ph.D. in French from Columbia University and am certified as a French-to-English translator by the ATA. My specialties are:

  • Art and culture: exhibition catalogues, catalogues raisonnés, essays, press kits and press releases, contemporary and historical art criticism, artist statements, artist biographies. Former in-house translator for ARTINFO and and freelance journalist for the French publication Le Journal des Arts.
  • Advertising and marketing: website content, social media posts, and email newsletters for French luxury brands; transcreation, copywriting, and SEO copywriting for cosmetics and jewelry companies; PowerPoint presentations and business communications of all kinds.
  • International relations and human rights: Reports and studies for international NGOs.
  • Food and wine: Menus, tasting notes, marketing materials.
  • Books and articles: I have translated five books:
  • Bordeaux, Legendary Wines by Michel Dovaz, an updated edition of a previous translation (Assouline, 2014)
  • Vino Business by Isabelle Saporta, an exposé of the French wine industry (Grove, 2015)
  • Yves Saint Laurent by Laurence Benaïm, a definitive biography of the French fashion designer (Rizzoli, 2019)
